Wind energy experienced very close
Freiberg, Dennheritz, 15th October 2018. On Monday Sabowind opened its construction site in Dennheritz spontaneously for the visit of the day-care center “Pfiffikus”. The kids had become aware of the site because of the big crane that has been visible over a long distance for one week and that is going to assemble the huge turbine parts bit by bit. On Monday they finally had the possibility to watch everything at close range. The construction supervisor, Maik Hoffmann, answered many of their questions and explained the children who were eager for knowledge playfully how wind turbines work and how the many construction elements form a complete turbine.
Sabowind implements at the site a turbine of the type of VESTAS V117-3.3/3.45 with a rated power of 3.45 MW and a hub height of 141.5 m. Sabowind was awarded the tender for the feed-in-tariff at the auction for wind onshore on 01/02/2018 of the Bundesnetzagentur (Federal Network Agency). After implementation Sabowind Service will carry out the technical and commercial management of the turbine. The turbine will supply app. 2,500 average households with clean energy.
