In mid-April Sabowind began construction work on a 20.8 MWp photovoltaic plant in the municipality of Oberschöna OT Kleinschirma. The first construction measures included building the cable route and ramming the stands for the modules.
The ground-mounted system is one of three large PV projects that we will be constructing in Saxony this year. Remuneration will be paid via the EEG surcharge and an electricity supply agreement (PPA).
The PV system is being built in the municipality of Oberschöna, Kleinschirma, on a plot of land with an area of 18.1 hectares and has a nominal output of 20.8 MWp. The developed plot of land is part of an approved development plan; the corresponding resolution to approve the plan was passed in August 2023.
A 63 MVA transformer station will be built in the immediate vicinity in cooperation with the neighbouring 54 MWp PV system to connect the plant to the grid.
The PV system is scheduled to go into operation in the third quarter of 2024 and its annual yield of 23,251,823 kWh will be able to supply up to 15,500 households with green electricity. The municipality will receive a financial contribution in accordance with Section 6 EEG.
