Freiberg, 13th December 2016: In the end of November 2016 Sabowind GmbH got the permit to erect a further wind energy turbine in an already existing priority area for wind energy. The wind turbine of the type Vestas V 126-3.3 with a hub height of 137 meters and 3,300 kWh will be build in the priority area “GI Lohe” near the commune Reinsdorf. The wind area spread over a length of 2 kilometres near the motorway A72 between Silberstraße an der Zwickauer Mulde, Vielau and Friedrichsgruen.
The preparatory measures will start in the first quarter of 2017. After the wind energy turbine went into operation in the third quarter of 2017, Sabowind Service GmbH will be responsible for the operational and technical management.
The erection of wind turbines is subject to approval according to the Pollution Control Act. Before such a permit is granted, the applicant has to prove in a lengthy action that the planned construction is consistent with the existing nature conservation and pollution control law. Interferences with nature and landscape have to be counterbalanced with appropriate measures. Thus, for the erection of this wind turbine payments for the restructuring of an island at the big pond Großer Teich Limbach will be effected. The Großer Teich Limbach is the biggest pond at the European bird sanctuary “Limbacher Teiche”. In the early 1990s the island has been located as a breeding site for waterfowls. Meanwhile Black-headed gulls and Tufted ducks hatch there. A costly renovation is necessary to secure the continuity of the island and the bird colony. This organise the nature conservation authority of the district Zwickau. The start of construction of the compensation measures is scheduled for fall 2017.
