Wind farm Tanna will grow by one additional turbine
Sabowind will expand the wind farm in Tanna by one further wind energy turbine of the type Enercon E-92 with a total height of 149.90 m and a rotor diameter of 92 m. In 2013 Sabowind had already implemented two wind energy turbines on the site of Tanna; one Enercon E-101 and one E-92 with a total rated power of 5.4 MW.
Currently, preparative building measurements are executed, so that construction works will start in autumn 2015. In order to compensate the interference in nature and living environment of animals that comes along with construction works, Sabowind will recultivate a stretch of water in Schilbach. Thus, the area will be ecologically upvalued and additional living environments and space for animals will be created.
It is planned that the wind energy turbine will go into operation this year and it will supply 3,500 households with green energy. The turbine will contribute with a share of approximately 3,500 tones to save carbon dioxide. The technical and commercial management will be taken over by Sabowind Service GmbH.
