Sabowind celebrates the dedication of the wind farm Heldrungen with project participants
Braunsroda/Freiberg 22th of May 2017. After four wind energy plants in Heldrungen and Reinsdorf were brought into service and the construction works in the wind farm were already finished, Sabowind celebrated the completion together with communes, construction firms and residents. In March 2017 the last of four wind energy plants in Heldrungen/Reinsdorf (Thuringia) was brought into service. On this occasion Sabowind, who developed and implemented the whole project, wanted to thank all participants involved in the project with a wind farm celebration. At the same time Sabowind thanked the residents of Braunsroda for their understanding, who suffered considerable disturbances during the construction process.
For the erection of three wind energy plants in Heldrungen Sabowind needed six months. In Reinsdorf it took four months to build the last one. To raise the local adding value, Sabowind as a certified partner of the ThEGA, instructed local companies for the implementation of the building measures. A sponsoring contract was concluded between the city of Heldrungen and Sabowind, designated to several social and cultural projects. In line with the contract an amount will be paid anually to support the primary school "Schmücke", the library, playgrounds, the “Zwiebelkönigin” (a “princess” elected in line with the annual city festival) and the fire brigade. Beside the sponsoring contract two other large land owners voluntarily agreed to pay a certain sum of their leasing receipts to the commune of Braunsroda.
To compensate the construction works Sabowind will restore the stream “Helderbach” between Heldrungen and Hauteroda. On the one hand the restoration improves the ecological status of the local inshore waters and serves on the other hand for flood protection. To upgrade the natural scenery Sabowind will plant a hedge on an area of over 3000 m² in Hauteroda. In addition there will be plant and permanently cultivated a fruit meadow on an area of four hectares with 50 native fruit trees. To this effect an ecological valuable living environment for wildlife is generated.
Altogether all four wind energy plants from the manufacturer Enercon will produce about 25.500 MWh green electricity annually and will supply energy to appr. 7.500 households (per year).
