Freiberg/Dresden, 22th of December 2016: Success by the end of the year: Sabowind GmbH receive in cooperation with VSB Neue Energien Deutschland GmbH the permission from the district of Wittenberg (Saxony-Anhalt) to erect and operate 12 wind energy turbines near the city Coswig-Luko. Altogether, the wind farm will provide clean energy for more than 30,000 households. The commissioning is planned for September 2017.
VSB Neue Energien Deutschland GmbH, located in Dresden, and Sabowind GmbH, located in Freiberg, are going to start with the preparatory measures at the beginning of March 2017. The joint planning started in 2010. In total, the entire wind farm has a capacity of 30 Megawatt. The location near Coswig-Luko is an appropriate wind area without a special height restriction. Due to the 10 km farther Gartenreich Dessau-Wörlitz the planning had been changed to save the World Heritage status of this high cultural place. In November 2016 VSB and Sabowind made a compromise with the ministry of Culture for Saxony-Anhalt. In total, the ministry permits 12 wind energy turbines with a total height of 180 meters.
Through this height restriction the wind farm is not longer visible from the Gartenreich Dessau-Wörlitz. “The compromise shows, that solutions for the parallel existence of monumental protection and wind power are possible. This was our main concern at any point during the planning process”, told Markus Brogsitter, CEO of the VSB Neue Energien Deutschland GmbH. Dr. Rainer Sack, CEO of the Sabowind GmbH complements: “We would like to thank all interlocutors, institutions and especial the city of Coswig for the constructive communication and fast decision”.
Afterwards the technical and financial management of the 12 wind energy turbines is provided by VSB Group and Sabowind Service GmbH.
