eab Projektmanagement GmbH received the approval for two wind energy projects in Saxony on November 11th and December 3rd of 2010. A few days later, these projects were sold to private investors. On behalf of the investors we are going to take over the turnkey construction and implementation of both wind energy projects. The start of constructions is planned for the beginning of March and the commissioning for the third quarter of 2011.
The projects’ sale on such short notice was possible because of the good preliminary work that was done by eab Projektmanagement GmbH by structuring an economic concept, obtaining the wind surveys beforehand and supporting the financing of the project.
The wind energy project Streumen with a turbine of the type Enercon E-82, 138 m hub height, a total height of 179,38 m and 2 MW rated power, will be implemented within the district of Meißen near Streumen between the municipalities of Wülknitz and Glaubitz. Close to the site already exist other wind turbines and we expect an average wind speed of 6.7 m / s (at hh)) and a net annual wind energy output of 5350 MWh.
The wind energy project Pegau III is an extension of our existing wind farm with 3 turbines. Two more wind energy turbines will be erected within the priority area for wind power near the town of Pegau and the mining area Profen-Nord in the district of Leipzig. To achieve an optimal wind farm configuration two different types of turbines were selected: One REpower MM92 with 80 m hub height, a rotor diameter of 92 m and a installed capacity of 2050 kW plus one Enercon E-53 with 73 m hub height, a rotor diameter of 53 m and a installed capacity of 800 kW. With the wind energy location Pegau III, we predict the investor an average net energy output of 6330 MWh per year.
At the wind energy site Pegau we erected in 2007 one turbine of the type Vestas V90, with a hub height of 105 m and a nominal output of 2,000 kW. In July 2009, we expanded the site by 2 Enercon E70 2.3 MW NH 113.5 m.
