At the beginning of November, Sabowind started the construction of two wind energy plants in Saxony.
In the municipality of Neukirchen in the Ore Mountains, the first preparatory measures were taken for the construction of a VESTAS EnVentusTM V150 wind turbine with a hub height of 166 metres and a nominal capacity of 5.6 MW. With an annual energy yield of approx. 15,500 MWh, the plant can cover the annual needs of more than 4,500 households.
At the same time, work for the erection of a wind turbine of same type began at the second construction site, located in the municipality of Klipphausen. With an annual energy yield of approx. 17,000 MWh, the plant can cover the annual demand of more than 4,800 households.
In spring 2025, after winter break, the cable laying process, the construction of the access road for the crane hardstand and the construction of the foundation base for the wind turbine are to be completed at both plants, so that the tower sections and main components can be delivered by the middle of the year. Commissioning of both plants is planned for the third quarter of 2025.
