Freiberg, 07.08.2018. Sabowind Service is going to expand the operations and maintenance sector beside the technical and commercial management for wind energy turbines. The future orientation of the company makes it necessary to increase capacities again. At the headquarters in Freiberg a complete new hall complex is being built with factory, storage facilities even for large components and locker rooms on 400 sqm offering the possibility to refurbish spare parts of older wind turbines. “The modern building enables us to work more efficient and service-oriented in the future due to a faster availability of spare parts”, says Marcus Bojack, Managing Director of Sabowind Service.
In June already the excavators laid the foundations for the current building project on the company’s premises. The new building will be completed by October 2018.
Self-produced solar energy will ensure the electric power supply for the new hall. As already on the existing company’s building a photovoltaic system with a capacity of 40 kW will be installed on the roof. The PV system will cover the own annual power requirements as well as the demand of the emerging charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.
In 2011 the independent operating company Sabowind Service adopted the technical and commercial management of wind energy turbines in Germany. Since that time the company is steadily developing and is a reliable service partner for Central Germany and Poland. In 2015 Sabowind Service was certified according to DIN ISO 9001:2008 for the sectors Technical and Commercial Management of wind energy turbines and transformer stations, services and machine maintenance, followed by the first large component exchange. Since 2017 Sabowind Service is service partner of Enercon and since this year of GE, too.
