Sabowind erects another wind energy turbine
Dennheritz, 16.07.2018: In spite of the restrictive renewable energy policy of the Saxon state government Sabowind succeeded in implementing another wind energy turbine again. On 2nd July 2018 Sabowind as general contractor started with the construction works for a turbine of the type Vestas V117-3.3/3.45 in the community of Dennheritz in Saxony. The turbine has a hub height of 141.5 m and a total rated power of 3,450 kW and will provide clean energy to about 2,500 average households.
In July, the roads and the crane pad are being realised. The erection of the turbine is planned for autumn. Thus, the commissioning can take place by the end of the year 2018 depending on the weather conditions.
Sabowind Service will be responsible for technical and commercial management of the turbine.
In December 2017 Sabowind was issued the building permit according to the Federal Immission Control Act for the erection and operation of a turbine of the type Vestas V117. After the successful participation in the tender of the Federal Network Agency for wind onshore on 1st February 2018 the project can now be implemented as planned.
In order to compensate the impairments of nature coming along with the erection of wind energy turbines, comprehensive compensating measures are being implemented. By upgrading existing subterranean slots and water tanks in the community of Gablenz (Crimmitschau) bat habitats are created for species potentially affected by the construction measures. The second measure includes the plantation of a hedge with five rows over a distance of 270 m in the community of Langenchursdorf (Callenberg) in order to enhance the natural scenery. The costs for both measures amount to approximately 60,000 Euros.
