Joint announcement by Sabowind GmbH, eins energie sachsen GmbH and Sozialbetriebe Mittleres Erzgebirge gGmbH
Sabowind GmbH and the infrastructure service provider eins energie sachsen are jointly supporting the long-term operation of a fire water pond on the grounds of the children's and youth centre in Lippersdorf/Pockau-Lengefeld with a donation of €30,000.
November 3rd, 2025, in the presence of Mayor Elke Schmieder, a donation cheque was symbolically presented by Mandy Bojack, Managing Director of Sabowind GmbH, and Roland Warner, Chairman of the eins Management Board, to the Managing Director of the organisation, Andreas Haustein. The fire water pond has already been renovated with the support of EU funding.
Andreas Haustein, Managing Director of Sozialbetriebe Mittleres Erzgebirge gGmbH: ‘We initially raised the required equity for the EU funding ourselves. The generous donation will enable us to operate the facility on a permanent basis and to implement further projects for the benefit of the age groups cared for in our children's and youth centre.’
Sabowind Managing Director Mandy Bojack and eins energie sachsen Managing Director Roland Warner emphasise: ‘Here in Lippersdorf, we not only want to contribute to a sustainable energy supply, but also want to make specific improvement to the local infrastructure and increase safety in the community by implementing the urgently needed comprehensive fire protection concept.“
Sabowind and eins energie sachsen are planning to build four wind turbines northwest of Lippersdorf. This will enable around 18.400 three-person households to be supplied with electricity from renewable energies. The project is currently going through the approval process. The donation is independent of the successful implementation. If the wind energy project is realised, further fire protection measures will be implemented in the village including new access roads for the fire brigade and rescue services, an additional fire water cistern with a volume of 96 m³ and modern fire alarm and extinguishing systems, which will significantly minimise the risk in the event of an emergency.
