Bobritzsch-Hilbersdorf / Freiberg, June 1, 2021. The first public participation for an open-space photovoltaic system in central Saxony was successful. Residents have signed the full amount for the financing so that the project can be implemented. Numerous citizens and those involved in the project met on June 1st in the construction site of the Tannhübel public solar park for the first symbolic groundbreaking ceremony.
“We are very happy about the very positive and broad response. A total of over 40 people between the ages of 2 and 73 took part, ”says Susanne Koschker, board member of the energy cooperative.
“ The first public participation in central Saxony exceeded all our expectations. This result shows the great interest in such local projects, says Stefan Sekul, Head of Site Planning at Sabowind.
The majority of those involved come from Bobritzsch-Hilbersdorf and Freiberg, but also from localities like Mulda, Großschirma, Nossen, Klingenberg and Nassau. A total of € 252,500 was collected. The participation sums are broadly diversified, from 500 to 50,000 €.
The solar park with a nominal output of 749 kWp should be completed by the end of June. A flowering meadow is then created under the module area and hedge structures are planted.
