On 18 November 2025, after almost a year of construction and installation, the VESTAS EnVentusTM V150 wind turbine with a hub height of 166 metres and a rated output of 5.6 MW was commissioned on schedule on the „Baeyerhöhe“ in the municipality of Klipphausen.
With an annual energy yield of approximately 15,500 MWh, the turbine can cover the annual energy needs of more than 4,500 households. The local community of Klipphausen and the surrounding communities receive a financial contribution in accordance with Section 6 of the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG).
A special feature of this project was the use of a fly-over bridge to transport the large components across the Triebisch river in the village of Tanneberg. This had to be erected in order to shift the load on the bridge completely to the adjacent road so that the heavy transports could complete this part of the stage.
After a total of seven years of project development, approval procedures and implementation planning for the construction of the wind turbine including cable route, foundation construction, transport of the tower parts, large components and large crane, our wind turbine on the A4 motorway near Schmiedewalde now generates green electricity for the region.
Sabowind would like to thank all the companies involved, as well as citizens, interested parties and the municipality of Klipphausen for the successful implementation of this project.
