Sabowind startes constructing three PV parks with a total capacity of 77 MW in Saxony in 2024. Two of the PV parks have now successfully commenced operations.
The Kleinschirma solar park in the district of Mittelsachsen, with a capacity of 21 MWp, was already commissioned on schedule at the end of 2024. A joint transformer station (63MVA) was built for this project in cooperation with the neighbouring PV plant operator (54Mwp). This will be used to feed in 79 million kWh of green electricity annually.
With an annual yield of 23,251,823 kWh, up to 15,500 households can be supplied with green electricity. The municipality of Oberschöna also receives a financial share in accordance with §6 of the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG).
The solar park Schwarzkollm in the district of Bautzen in Upper Lusatia with a capacity of 15 MWp was put into operation at the end of last year. With an annual yield of 16,800 MWh, up to 4,800 households can be supplied with green electricity. The city of Hoyerswerda also receives a financial participation according to § 6 EEG.
The commissioning of the two PV plants is a major milestone for Sabowind in the field of solar projects. We are proud of all those involved in successfully completing this milestone on schedule.
The third and largest PV project in Dippoldiswalde is scheduled to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2025.
