Freiberg/ Bydgoszcz, 07.01.2020: Sabowind successfully participates in the Polish onshore wind auction and wins the contract for the construction of three wind farms with 50 wind turbines. A fourth wind farm will be implemented via PPAs.
Sabowind Polska Sp. z o. o. with its headquarters in Bydgoszcz successfully participates in the second auction procedure of URE (Polish Energy Regulator) for onshore wind turbines on 05.12.2019 and is awarded the contract for the construction of three wind farms with 50 turbines and a total capacity of 100 MW. In addition, a fourth wind farm with four wind turbines will be built outside the statutory remuneration system. The plants are spread over four locations in central Poland, mainly in Kujawien-Pomerania.
Lidia Paczkowska, Managing Director of Sabowind Polska Sp z o.o., is delighted with this success: "With the award of the contract, we are now able to realize the projects developed over the years. This year, we have our hands full working on this to lay the foundations for the implementation of the projects." The commissioning of the wind farms is planned for the end of 2021, after which they will be technically supervised by Sabowind Polska.
Sabowind Polska Sp. z o. o. based in Bydgoszcz (Bromberg) has been operating in Poland since 2006 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sabowind GmbH in Freiberg/Germany. Up to now, wind energy projects with a total capacity of more than 200 MW have been developed ready for construction, of which almost 60 MW have already been brought to the grid. Sabowind Polska develops and supports wind turbines for both its own stock and external investors.
