Freiberg, May 21, 2021. What began 30 years ago as a two-man company is now a successful medium-sized company that is implementing regenerative energy projects in the second generation. With the vision to make a sustainable contribution to the energy supply and the environment with regenerative energy, the foundation stone for today's Sabowind group was laid in May 1991. Initially, it was important as a pioneer to share your own conviction of the usefulness of this energy generation technology with others, to convince them and to win enthusiastic supporters.
Since then, the branch has rapidly developed into an important sector of industry. There have been many ups and downs along this path and the pioneers of that time had to face changing market challenges. Since it was founded, the company has seen seven amendments to the Renewable Energy Sources Act and changing political framework conditions in Germany, which has resulted in project development being geared towards selected international markets. In addition, the company has re-entered the photovoltaic business and is expanding its corporate locations in Germany and Poland. The technical and commercial management as well as the service have been significantly expanded in recent years. Today the own service company Sabowind Service GmbH is an experienced and certified partner for national and international investors.
Thanks to a qualified and committed team, Sabowind has always managed to develop and grow on its own. So far, more than 269 wind turbines with a nominal output of over 435 MW and 10 solar parks have been implemented. If necessary and drastic international climate targets are adopted today, this is not only a confirmation of the path taken by Sabowind, but it is like 30 years ago persuasion - convincing the politicians and especially the local citizens of the necessity and correctness of this regenerative energy generation before the background of the nuclear and coal phase-out.
As an experienced full-service provider, Sabowind will continue to implement sustainable, regenerative energy concepts in Germany and Poland and actively shape the changes in the energy market. The company continues to focus on growth. In 2022, the largest project portfolio to date will be implemented in Poland with 54 wind turbines and a nominal output of 108 MW.
